Ashton and I took a weekend trip to NYC. It’s difficult to describe what we experienced, and I think NYC is a place that really can only be experienced.  It was fantastic, and I cannot wait to go back with Matt. We walked 30 miles in 3 days, saw so many things, and realized that Christmas in New York is NOT like it is in the movies– there were an insanely huge number of people there, and it was impossible to get through the crowds at times.  We saw a ton of different kinds of people, heard many different languages, navigated the subways like champs, went to see Hadestown, ate some tasty pizza, met some Italians, and, believe it or not, got to meet up with Alan and Sarah!!!  Thanks for being my travel buddy, Ashton!  I am really excited for our next adventure.
