Even staying in our local area, there are adventures and beautiful things everywhere. I just need a little push sometimes to get out and find them. Here are a few.
Matt and I went out for lunch to a sandwich shop we had heard was good. Turns out, the food was very good. And so was the VIEW!!! Can you imagine that Italy has these views everywhere, available for everyone, and without jacking up the prices or turning it into a fancy restaurant? This was just a sandwich shop for the same price as any other. AMAZING.
We offered to show a new Band family around Naples. Ashton baby-sat their little kids while we showed the parents a little bit of downtown. Mostly we showed them the food– pizza, espresso with Sambuca, cuoppo di mare, aperol spritz, and graffa. YUM. Also it is fun to see Naples alive again!
We had a really nice day, so we went to a little town called Teano. Matt played a gig there for a town festival awhile back and it was FULL of people that night. Today it was empty. We still aren’t smart enough yet about Italy to understand when to go places at the right times, but we did find some food. We took it not too far away for a picnic and walk on our favorite path, Monte Massico.
