Matt’s gig was in Ravello, a small town in the hills overlooking the Amalfi coast.  Ravello is known for its beautiful gardens and views, as well as art and ceramics.  I took my fellow band-spouse, Melissa, with me (while Ashton babysat her kids) because her husband was also playing.  We spent hours walking through gardens, looking at art, eating and drinking, and talking.  We also endured super hot temps, sweat, the winding road, and we felt very embarrassed when it seemed like we were not going to be allowed into the posh gig.  But we made it in and enjoyed the wine, the finger food, and the great music.  I loved hanging out with my new friend, getting to see Matt play, and eating free food with the band, too!  I love gigs!  Matt does too.
