August in Naples is HOT.  Crazy hot.  So we went uphill to cool off.  Lago di Castel San Vincenzo is our favorite; we’ve been going there every August since we came to Italy, and it is quiet, beautiful and chilly.  We also discovered Bocca della Selva, which has cool temperatures, awesome trees, a hike with beautiful views, and woods in which to make a campfire.  It’s about an hour and a half to each location, which means we can’t go every day, but I am thankful we can go to these places.
