Can you believe anyone would go to Venice and NOT drive less than 2 hours north into this insane beauty??  Not me!  It is amazing in the Dolomites!  We just saw a tiny piece of these mountains that stretch for a long way, and we were completely surrounded by epic beauty.  This first day we left our Venice apartment and drove 2+ hours up a pass, hiked for a short while, then checked into our airbnb in Cencenighe Agordino.

This was our home for a few days..
