Another homeschool hiking trip happened, this time starting from an ancient town and up a set of switchbacks to a sanctuary.  After a picnic at the sanctuary with its lovely views of the hills and mountains beyond, a few of us continued a bit further up the path of Monte Maggiore.  We definitely have to go back to do this hike again and see where the path ends.
