Closer to home, we’ve had some fun times lately::
:: a dinner out, with complementary limencello (Italians drink it after meals for digestion)
:: a cooking class at a local pasta shop (spaghetti alla carbonara)
:: video chatting with friends and family, and the outdoor market
:: new hair colors for Jess and Ash
:: an 11th birthday party for Cedar, with a yo-yo cake and fresh Italian pastries
:: sunset view from my window. EVERY. NIGHT. It’s such a blessing.
:: outings with my babies (yes, we did go to McDonalds), and a pool party for the Navy Band (hosted by the Admiral of the Navy here).
:: we have the kids give presentations on things they choose to learn, which is always fun, and Ashton is taking online classes in drawing, writing, cooking, and more.
:: I’ve been going quite crazy with growing plants, because they grow SO FAST here, and because, well, I like plants. Also, I get fresh local farm vegetables and fruits, meat, eggs and cheese delivered to me at the Navy base, thanks to a farm co-op I joined (it’s like a CSA, only cheaper).
