The kids and I joined a group of our homeschool friends on a trip to a place called Connor’s Amazing Acres. It was a gorgeous day, a beautiful drive out into the country, and a perfect place to spend a fall day. I was reminded that there is rural life even here in what feels like such a big city, that I adore road trips (even small ones), and that getting out into the country really isn’t so hard to do– it’s just a car ride away. The place we went has a corn maze, hay ride, train ride, playgrounds, gardens, stacks of hay and piles of sand to play in, pumpkins, farm animals, and lots of fun to be had. The owners (really just a local family) let me bring Addie (our dog) onto the farm and we spent a whole day just soaking in the sun, the quiet, the space and the animals. What a wonderful day. I am so happy we went.

These are such wonderful photos J. I love the light. This reminds me of a little place near us. I have similar photos of my Bean when she was in preschool in a similar little train. Brought back memories. 🙂
These are so great. They look like they are having so much fun.
Love the light and the colors in these!
