:: going for evening family walks when the breeze kicks up and the weather cools off. The days lately are super humid and hot, but the evenings are lovely. We’ve also been incorporating what we call “Mom time/Dad time” into our evening schedule, which is a time when Matt and I each pair up with one kid to do something one-on-one. It’s a big time investment into an already packed evening, but so far it’s been very rewarding. :: enjoying our little guy, so full of life and thoughts. :: training Addie to do some fun tricks. So far she can sit, shake, speak, lay down, stay, and is learning to roll over. It’s so fun for us all.
:: making pretzels, pizza crust, bread, and other fun homemade treats.
:: heading to the custard stand for dessert, a great little outdoor place in the heart of Jax beach. The place gets packed and it’s clear why.
:: watching some spectacular skies as the tropical storms roll through. Lightning storms, sudden thunderous downpours, and lovely-lit skies abound.
:: heading out and about as much as we can, hitting local spots, seeing music, and enjoying this area while we are here.
:: enjoying seeing our sweet girl as she wanders around finding beauty. She learned about spiderwort from a friend, a plant that grows all over and that, when rubbed on the skin, takes away the itchiness and sting of insect bites. She talks about it all the time and loves to help people (and herself) out when she spots the plant.
