green smoothies

May 8, 2012
I’ve been experimenting with making green smoothies lately, and I have to say I LOVE them!  Fruit, yogurt, water, sweetness, and a whole bunch of spinach all blend together to make a really tasty drink.  After all my years of being a studier and practicer of a healthy diet, I have never even thought to make this.  Sadly, though, the kids just aren’t that excited about the idea of drinking a green spinach drink, no matter how tasty it is.  I’m going to have to work on it, because this idea is really too good to let go of.

Spinach smoothies are SOOOO good! Have you tried putting eggs in them and drinking them for breakfast yet? That works well(well I think it does=)

Yum, I’ve been wanting to do this too! I thought I needed a juicer but I already have a blender! 🙂

I have been hooked on green smoothies too!
    My mix up is:
    frozen blue berries
    spinach
    kifer (or plain yogurt)
    some dash of juice (grape/apple)
    some crushed ice
    aloe vera (couple tablespoons)
    flax meal

My kids drink it because it’s purple from the blueberries! Can’t see the spinach!
Makes me want to go and make one now!!!

I am going to have to give these a shot. Everyone keeps raving about them. Do you just use a regular blender??
