Ashton recently used her allowance money to buy a set of Pet Shop toys that came with a house and some furniture. I love it when she buys new toys– not only is it exciting to see her doing her own shopping, but her new dolls tunnel her into a world of imagination for days and days afterward. She brings her dolls around the house with her everywhere, plays for hours with them in the bath, draws pictures and stories of them, shows them to her friends, and tells us bedtime stories about their adventures. It’s such a pleasure to watch this beautiful girl, so full of magic.
